Regional Network Entry Points into SuperJANET5 (November 2004)

• One of the aims of SuperJANET5 is to improve reliability. As part of this it is intended to provide two diverse entries into each Regional Network so that a service may be built that is resilient in the face of failures of either connection. In order to do this, information is needed from each of the Regional Networks concerning their preferred entry points in order to inform the SuperJANET5 procurement process. The paper 'SuperJANET5 Entry Points to Regional Networks' describes the information needed by JANET(UK). The paper, with an accompanying letter, has been sent to the Technical Contacts of the Regional Network Operators.
