Registrations In The urn:mace:ac.uk Namespace

MACE has delegated responsibility for the urn:mace:ac.uk namespace to the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC). The namespace is operated on their behalf by JANET(UK) according to the policy for the management of the urn:mace:ac.uk namespace.

The eligibility rules for the namespace are the same as for the .ac.uk DNS domain, so JANET(UK) will only issue names of the forms urn:mace:ac.uk:organisation.ac.uk and urn:mace:ac.uk:project.ac.uk where the organisation or project holds the equivalent DNS domain. For sub-namespaces within an organisation or project, the top level namespace must first be delegated by JANET(UK) and the organisation to which this is delegated may then issue sub-namespaces within it.
