The WTAS was launched during Networkshop 35, April 2-6 2007.
The JANET Wireless Technology Advisory Service joined the ranks of the existing technology advisory services on April 4th 2007. It is available to academic and research organisations wishing to benefit from unbiased expert advice on a wide range of wireless technologies.
JANET(UK) has launched a new service, the JANET Wireless Technology Advisory Service. Wide ranging and vendor-independent advice on technologies and implementation is now available from the JANET Wireless Advisory Service (WTAS) on all aspects of wireless technologies. Typical areas in which the service is able to provide independent technical support to organisations include; security techniques, surveying and monitoring, WLAN management, standards and technologies, user support models. The e-mail/telephone advisory service is free of charge for JANET customers, but for in-depth support a chargeable consultancy arrangement service may also be available.

To open an enquiry simply e-mail or telephone JANET Service Desk (JSD), e-mail: service@ja.net with your question and ask for the WTAS service.
