Shane Walker

Biography

Shane Walker is the acting VP of Programming for the Open Student Television Network, based in Cleveland, Ohio. He is also heading the expansion in Europe, Latin America and Asia. Shane also heads OSTN Studios which is the production arm of OSTN. The first project is the first ever international collegiate news show ‘OSTN News’.

After attending Wabash College & Ball State University, Shane began his professional career in New York City, working at Anne Klein as an assistant designer. He then moved over to the design studio of DKNY Menswear, before moving to Los Angeles for a change of view and career. With a college friend, he set up Sunset & Seventh, a production company that produced fashion videos. The company thrived as MTV launched its fashion show with Cindy Crawford. Shane wrote and produced many music videos during this time. He soon took an interest in feature films and co-produced his first film, a short called, ‘The Waiter’, which won a few awards on the festival circuit and was sold to Showtime.

Shane then began to work for the Santa Monica-based production company, Cineville. He started out as an assistant to the President, as well as writing promotion pieces for their newly released films, and was then was promoted to the Director of Development. During this time, he also produced two films, for which his responsibilities were overseeing budgets, scheduling, payroll, casting, and the overall delivery of the film in a timely manner.

Walker then took a position in London to work with Warner Bros. at Pinewood Studios. During his years living in England, he wrote a screenplay entitled ‘Beyond Beauty’, based on the Royal Academy of Music. The film is being developed by a producer at Sony Studios in Los Angeles.

Shane resides in Bay Village, Ohio with his wife Melissa and their five-year-old daughter Autumn.
