In response to demand form the JANET community, JANET(UK) are holding an IPTV briefing event at UCL on the 4 October. During summer 2007 JANET undertook a requirements gathering exercise to realise the demand for content services specifically relating to Student Television, content sharing and IPTV. The results of this survey are now finalised and are being used as a basis on which to develop a strategy for content services on JANET. The event will include case study presentations from the JANET community; a presentation on the Open Student Television Network; and presentation on regulations and licensing for IPTV.
This event is aimed at anyone from the JANET Community with an interest in IPTV and content delivery and will include a mix on technical, regulatory and case study content.
The event will start with registration and refreshments at 10:00 and the first session will commence at 10:30. It will finish no later than 16:00. Details of the programme will follow soon

The organisers - JANET(UK) reserve the right to charge £50.00 plus VAT if a delegate fails to show at the event and does not notify the organisers in advance. Substitutions will be accepted but please send an e-mail to: workshop@ja.net stating the substitute's name and contact details.
