In this presentation Paul Sergeant, JANET(UK)'s Content Delivery Architect will start by looking at the major issues faced by those wishing to produce, publish, manage and distribute moving images and sound content over IP networks and will be presenting some of JANET(UK)'s proposed solutions for delivery over JANET. Recent developments in the global content delivery landscape will be examined - with a brief overview of commercial movements, and moving onto specific initiatives in the educational sector. There will be an outline of the JANET(UK) Content Demonstrator project and some discussion on the DNER 'clusters' that also operate in this area.
