JANET MULTICAST BEACON SERVER

PLEASE NOTE: The NLANR beacon on the JANET Beacon is running patched v1.3 software. You must be running v1.3 beacon software to get your clients to talk to this server. See the installation page for more details and downloads.

The Beacons:

• JANET Public Beacon This beacon is publicly available for the academic and research community's use
  
  
• JANET Access Grid Beacon This beacon is aimed at confirming the connectivity of Access Grid conferencing facilities
  
  
• JANET Regional Network Beacon This beacon is for the use of Regional Network Operators for beacons directly connected to Regional Networks in the UK
