Map of the Lifelong Learning Network for Wales

The Lifelong Learning Network for Wales (LLNW) was procured by JANET(UK) in 2001 on behalf of Welsh Networking Limited (WNL). JANET(UK) also project managed the rollout of equipment and transmission links.

LLNW is interconnected to JANET, which provides all of the 22 local authorities in Wales with high speed Internet connectivity for schools, libraries and ICT Centres. The local authorities are:

Schools in Wales are now interconnected to Universities and Colleges in Wales via the following JANET Regional Network Operators:

JANET(UK) procured and manages the Welsh Video Network videoconferencing service for all universities and colleges in Wales. The WVN Support Centre is based at the University of Wales Swansea.
